Dear friends of the seminary,
The past several days at Mater Dei Seminary have been filled with immense joy and abundant blessings! On April 29th, we celebrated the ordination of four new priests in a beautifully solemn Pontifical High Mass attended by hundreds of faithful from near and far. It was truly inspiring to witness such an excellent turnout, seeing many familiar faces alongside numerous new visitors for this occasion.
We were deeply honored to welcome a remarkable gathering of clergy for this joyous occasion, with 31 priests traveling from across the United States, Italy, Mexico, Scotland, Germany, and Canada.
Adding to the splendor of the day, the singing during the Mass was absolutely magnificent. The liturgical music, beautifully rendered, elevated our hearts and souls, further enriching this sacred event.
In the days following the ordinations, the newly ordained priests offered their first Solemn High Masses, a significant and moving milestone in their priestly ministry. These Masses provided further occasions for thanksgiving and joy, marking the beginning of their lifelong journey of service to God and His Church.
Thanks be to God for His abundant blessings and for the gift of these new priests! Let us all continue fervently praying for our priests, both newly ordained and seasoned, and earnestly ask God to inspire many more generous souls to embrace the noble vocation of the priesthood.
May Our Lady, Queen of the Clergy, guide and protect them always!
